PE and sport premium
Purpose of the PE and Sport premium
The premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils and to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.
Basis of allocation
Allocations for the academic year are calculated using the number of pupils in years 1 to 6, as recorded in the January census. FEJS received 16K plus an additional £10 per pupil.
In the academic year 2023/24, Field End Junior School will receive £19,520
Setting our priorities for the year
When setting out our priorities for the coming year, we took into account the following 5 key areas:
1. increasing all staff's confidence, knowledge and skills in teaching PE and sport.
2. increasing engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity and sport.
3. raising the profile of PE and sport across the school,to support whole school imporvement.
4. offer a broader and more equal experience of a range of sports and physical activities to all pupils.
5.increase participation in competitive sport.
