After School Clubs at Field End Junior School

Throughout the school year, we run a variety of inschool clubs such as  football, dodgeball, multisports, tennis, homework, film club, reading, dance, marial arts, board games and sketching. These clubs run after school and are facilitated by either the teaching assistants or an external facilitator. 
The clubs run by school staff are free.
The clubs that are led by the external facilitators have a cost attached.

During the school day, we also run a successful chess club and a debate club. Both are open to all pupils. There is no cost for these clubs.

SMARTYs After School Club

Field End School, Field End Road, Ruislip for 4½-11 years running all year during term time

The After School Club has been started for a large variety of reasons, some of which are as follows:

  • It will help parents/carers obtain employment
  • It will help working parents/carers to keep employment
  • It will help working parents/carers to extend their hours
  • It will give the children an opportunity to experience different activities
  • It will enable the children to make new friends
  • It gives peace of mind to parents/carers knowing that their children are looked after in a safe, caring and familiar environment

Our After School Club at Field End School is for all children who attend Field End Infant and Junior School aged between 4 – 11 years. The club is situated in the Infants Dining Hall and adjoining areas with use of an outdoor area for active play and a garden area for planting and growing.

The infant children are collected by Playworkers from their Teachers and brought to the club. On arrival at the club a small snack is offered and a healthy break time is held at 4.30pm.

The Playworkers set up a variety of activities and the children have the opportunity to take part in a creative programme including:
Imaginative play
Dressing up
Active play in and outdoors
Group and team games
Arts & Crafts Cooking
Drama
All sports
Computers
Planting & growing in the garden area
Support with homework
Construction

Club Registration

Smarty's After School is registered with the London Borough of Hillingdon and is inspected annually by Ofsted.

Registration

Every child must be registered with the Club before attending. Registration forms are available on request and a £5 registration fee and a small photo will be required.
